Sherwood Green Nursery Eccleshill – Ofsted Success!
We are so excited to share some wonderful news with all our families!
After our Ofsted inspection in January 2025, Sherwood Green Nursery
Eccleshill has been rated Strong Good, with lots of lovely praise from the
inspectors
Here’s what Ofsted said about us:
“Children thoroughly enjoy their time in this welcoming nursery and
make strong progress from their starting points.”
“They demonstrate they feel safe and secure.”
“Carefully planned transitions mean children settle quickly and form
close bonds with caring and nurturing staff.”
That means when your little ones come through our doors, they are
happy, safe, and supported every step of the way!
Our team has high expectations for every child, helping them learn
how to share, take turns, and manage their feelings in a calm, patient
environment.
Children enjoy fun, hands-on activities every day — for example,
painting with fruits and vegetables, learning how things grow, and
brushing toy teeth to practice oral health!
We help children explore the wonderful diversity in our community,
whether it’s visiting local elderly residents for games and songs or
celebrating festivals like Lohri to learn about different cultures.
The inspectors also praised our passionate leadership, saying:
“Leaders are passionate and ambitious in their drive for continuous
improvement.”
“Leaders have superb partnerships with parents.”
“Leaders have excellent partnerships with other professionals to
keep children safe and ensure children with SEND have every
opportunity to make the progress they are capable of.
We’re proud of how we work closely with families, offering workshops, ‘Top Tips,’ and even a nursery lending library to keep the love of learning going at home.
