Ladybirds Baby room
Our Ladybirds Baby room caters for children aged 3 months to 2 years old.
Our focus first and foremost in the baby room is to provide a calm and warm emotional environment for babies where they feel loved and cared for. During this important phase, babies are exploring the world with all their senses and their whole bodies and so the activities and experiences we plan with our babies support and encourage children’s strong exploratory impulses.
We have created a black and white area to stimulate the children’s eye development through high contrast in photographs and pictures. There is a cosy book area where children can look at books and listen to their favourite stories, construction area, small world and exploration and investigation area using heuristic play and natural objects.
The children have a sleep area either in cots or on sleep beds depending on the age of the child and also on parental preference. The most fundamental part of our role with babies is to make sure that this picture develops into a positive.
